Antonio Bruno

Community-Rooted, Immersive, Experimental, and Storyteller

Antonio Bruno (he/him) is a multidisciplinary artist who treats creativity like a block party: open to everyone, full of surprises, and best when shared. Rooted in Chicago, Tony uses sound, storytelling, theater, and community gatherings to spark connections that feel both intimate and electric. Perfection isn’t the goal, in fact, the beauty often lives in the messy, magical mistakes.

As part of UrbanTheater Company, they lead with kindness, mentorship, and trust, freeing artists to create without administrative burdens. Working on his The Message series Tony has been exploring ways of partnering skills honed through practice with a passion birthed in spontaneity. Their work blends field recordings, live instrumentation, and the voices of his community into layered experiences that celebrate joy, memory, and everyday life. For Tony, art is less about the center and more about the circle, bringing people together to co-create, share, and see themselves reflected in the work. Whether building a neighborhood soundscape or hosting a UTC gathering, Thee Tony B’s art invites you in, hands you the mic, and reminds you that your story matters.
