Eme Ospina-López

Artivist, Projections Designer, and Transdisciplinary Collaborator

Eme Ospina-López (they/él) is a shapeshifting storyteller and trans artivist. Born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia Eme is now weaving roots in communities across and beyond Chicago. By crafting live experiences and bringing new works to life, Eme dedicates their work to stories that defy erasure and invite us to reckon with our roles in the making of liberated futures.

They move with the conviction that, as co-creators and co-participants in collective intentions and rituals, we reveal how deeply our struggles and freedoms are connected. Eme trusts that collaborative creative practices illuminate a critical need: to unlearn and dismantle what destroys us to rebuild a future centered on life, people, and collective care.
