Vocalist, Instrumentalist, Singer, Songwriter, Vocal Coach, and Teaching Artist

MOYANA (she/her) is passionate about making music that makes a difference. Her music is rooted in R&B, jazz, and soul. In 2025, she released her debut album PTCHWRK, produced by 7VNTH, which was recognized by These Days Magazine, Vocalo, and the Chicago Reader. MOYANA is a voting member of the Recording Academy’s Chicago Chapter. Her sound is currently shaped at studioSHAPES in Lincoln Park.

Her work has been featured by Best Buy, These Days Magazine, Harvard Art Museums, and GLAAD. In addition to performing, MOYANA engages in music as a teaching artist with Chicago Opera Theater and the Lyric Opera of Chicago, and she also offers private vocal coaching.

Her awards include the Black Music Action Coalition’s Victoria Monet x Music Maker Grant, the CITIBank LGBTQ+ Emerging Artist Award, the Recording Academy Quinn Coleman Scholarship, and the John Walt Foundation Young Artist Scholarship. Her performance highlights include Lollapalooza, Navy Pier, Beat Kitchen, City Winery Chicago, Schubas Tavern, Evanston SPACE, Rockwood Music Hall, and the 50th annual Dillo Day.
