3Arts 2014 Award winners announced

3Arts, the local non-profit organization that supports women artists, artists of color and artists with disabilities, announced the recipients of its 2014 awards at a ceremony at the Museum of Contemporary Art on Monday night. Each of the 10 recipients will receive an unrestricted $25,000.

Those people are: the playwright Calamity West, dancer Darrell Jones, choreographer Erica Mott, circus choreographer Sylvia Hernandez-DiStasi, instrumentalists Brandi Berry and Carlos Mejia, visual artists Irina Botea and Amanda Williams and teaching artists Sophia Nahil Allison and Samuel Roberson.
