Shapes Store: A Book of Fantastic Shapes
STRETCH GOAL!!! Because of your rapid support, this project is now fully funded and the Shapes Store catalogue will 100% exist! I am now working towards a stretch goal of $6,500 which will go towards printing additional pages in color, alongside their black and white originals. This is a decent amount of pages being added to the book which adds to the cost. Thank you for your continued support and I'm so excited to bring Shapes Store to life!
For years and years, stories in the 2-dimensional realm have been kept in rectangles, and there is now an opportunity to showcase stories within shapes unknown to man. This is a spiral-bound illustrated catalogue of 40 shapes and the stories inside of them, each drawn by Cam Collins. This is the perfect coffee table book for those who want to know what lives inside shapes, and your contributions will ensure that it can be printed. For each shape within this book, you’ll learn its name, its age, and of course, its story.
About This Project
The universe Cam Collins works within is called “The Canvas”, and within this world, there are angels and devils and aliens and robots. Collins has created a lot of media within the world of “The Canvas” such as comics about “Redman”, a sculpture that turns bad things into itself, and “Copper Odyssey”, a game about printmakers trying to get back their stolen supplies. This particular project will be a catalogue within this world for something called a Shape Store. This project is a collection of all “robot shapes” Collins has done over the span of 5 years. All 40 of these black and white drawings were completed using ink pens on canvas, starting with a shape and then revealing what the story of the shape is by starting to draw inside of it. This collection of Collins’ shaped stories will be in the form of a wide spiral-bound book, with each shape containing its own biography. Humans themselves have all sorts of shapes and sizes along with their own stories, and this Shapes Store will be representative of that.
The shapes are all formatted, and the stories have been written. The funding will go towards printing the book through Mixam with an edition of at least 300, as well as shipping costs both nationally and internationally. In the efforts of having this widely distributed, the funding will also help greatly with marketing costs and Collins’ own livelihood, as they are a sole working artist.
When the project is funded, donors and the greater public will be able to purchase the book directly from Cam Collins through their shop site. Shapes Store is just one of many parts of Collins’ world, and this book serves as many different windows into the world of “The Canvas” . When you fund this project, you are funding multiple projects that Collins will be working on for the rest of his life, as every moment he is not directly communicating with someone in the real world, he is imagining stories in his own. Join them in bringing Shapes Store to the real world!

Update 1: Fully Funded!Posted on July 29, 2026
Flowerbot, but in Color!
In incredibly fast amount of time, the project has been fully funded, which means "Shapes Store" will officially be printed!
That being said, this is only the first day of funding, and I will be introducing Stretch Goals.
The first stretch goal being $6500, where I will print additional pages in color, alongside their black and white originals. This is a decent amount of pages being added to the book which adds to the cost.
Again, thank you to the people who pledged and made this possible, and thank you 3arts for letting me be part of this. -
