Solar Eulogy is the 4th solo studio album for Allen Moore. It is a cathartic exploration – a way for me to confront and release the internal conflicts that arise from societal expectations and my own mental health challenges. It is a narrative that questions social constructs, allowing me to deconstruct and reconstruct my experience of existing in the world today. Musically, I incorporate elements of soul, jazz, hip-hop, and RnB—genres that carry rich histories of expression and resistance. By breaking down these forms, I create space for new meanings and connections.

About This Project

As a Black interdisciplinary artist, my work lives at the intersection of sound and visual art—where music becomes sculpture, and storytelling is embedded in melody. My upcoming project, Solar Eulogy, marks my fourth solo studio album and represents a deeply personal evolution in both form and concept. While my past releases have taken shape as digital recordings and cassette tapes, this album calls for something more tactile, more lasting—a vinyl pressing that reflects the physicality and intentionality at the heart of my practice.

Through my ongoing project, Solar Eulogy, I create DIY records cast with graphite and found materials, serving as both a physical and conceptual representation of a deeply personal journey. On a deeper level, this work functions as a posthumous conversation between family members—an intimate, imagined exchange woven from archived dialogues and field recordings that resonate as melancholic echoes of the past. Through my process, I press and duplicate a graphite record from the completed vinyl, extending the piece into a tactile, material form. Graphite, a recurring element in my practice, symbolizes Blackness and serves as a connective thread—both metaphorically and materially—through its elemental identity as carbon, the fundamental building block of all living things.

This campaign will help support the costs of material production, technical equipment and vinyl pressing. Once completed, audiences will be invited into a powerful sonic-visual ritual that channels memory, emotion, and resistance in Fall of 2025. With your support, Solar Eulogy can fully realize its mission—to offer a space of reflection and healing through sound, and to reimagine the ways we process grief and celebrate survival.
